Hostess with the mostest?

I was amazed to be asked to host the Winter/ Valentine Dance show by producers Faith Heartsong and MIDNIGHT (coolmama.bernandes) this past weekend. It was without doubt the biggest challenge I’d ever faced as a hostess and I really wanted to get it right.

So I spent quite a bit of time at the rehearsals and going over things with Faith and MIDNIGHT so all that remained was choosing an outfit to go with the occasion. I went shopping at a place I’ve used many times in the past called Dressed by Lexi. I fully intended to buy a new dress but I saw that she had a few dresses as group gifts and this one caught my eye straight away.

Waiting on the first patron to arrive by the entrance in my blue Designed by Lexi – Last Dance Gown ~ Cerulean, which came with a train and flex skirt. It came with BOM or omega appliers and I chose the BOM. I received a compliment on it from one lady patron who couldnt believe that it was a group gift.

Standing in front of the big sign that my co host Jax made asking patrons to reduce their script counts to below 50. With 60 people on the sim it was important to reduce lag. I was delighted to say that with the dress, my count was below the taboo number at 40.

To go with the dress I chose these heels which had a HUD that gave me a colour that matched the blue of the dress nicely. They were on sale at Tiffany Designs at 99L. There is a 27 colour HUD so definitely a versatile shoe.

To complement my look I used a chunky gold necklace and my favourite flexi earrings Utopia Jive. My hair was Hair EMO-tions.. HAIRBASE 5.0 + HP Z -fatpack which features a black bun.

Birthday Gift

I had to miss the last Audace Showstyle Dance show on the 6th November as my RL birthday clashed and I was pleasantly surprised when Carrie Rainforest who dances in the group heard my reasons for not hosting the event and she sent me this deep purple gown she designed herself.

Needless to say I was delighted with my gift and I promised I would do a blog on the dress.

I’ve always loved flexi dresses and this one flexes just perfectly. tThis deep purple dress really catches the eye. It has Maitreya appliers or it can be BOM – I chose the appliers.

A romping romper outfit from Emerald Couture

Real life has been pretty busy lately but I just had to find time to blog this outfit from Emerald Couture which is just right for summer.

Called the Indie Outfit it comprises a top and a pair or shorts. It comes in Berry, Blue, Brown, Camo, Green, Mustard, Purple, Sea and Tan colours and fits, Belleza, Maitreya, Slink, Sofia and Tonic bodies.

For this blog I chose three colours, purple, mustard and sea.

For this shot I wore the purple and used the HUD to choose this fabric version of the outfit. It was possible to select one or all of the parts of the outfit to change the pattern of the fabric.

Split skirt dress by Invidia Line

I was delighted to be offered this Mariella dress and Verona Shoes to review by ღExTreLyAღ who issued a new release notice under the Peperoncino Group. So going under the rule that if you don’t ask you don’t get, I asked.

The result was that I got a full copy of the dress and shoes and here they are. I think it makes a great clubbing dress and also for shopping trips around the grid.

The dress came in this handbag complete with pose and it can be worn as you can see. The Verona colour change sandals from ღExTreLyAღ go with the dress very well.

Back to the dress. It comes ready for the following mesh bodies, Belleza (all three), Slink (both) and Maitreya with a HUD that gives 20 different textures or colours. It has a wide split in the skirt up to the left hip so some tweaking of my alpha was necessary to get it to fit properly. That done the dress moved well and looked a good fit.

I used it for my job as a hostess at Class Act so I took a picture on stage as I supported our newest DJ. The bodice certainly hugged my hostessing shape and if anything seemed to flatter the ability of my nipples to stick out. At least there was no need to tweak the alpha on my nipples to avoid them sticking out of the dress as often happens.

I also used the dress to attend the opening of the new Winter semester at Audace Modelling school. While there in the courtyard at Audace I played with the colour HUD and chose this oatmeal colour which was good match for the bag while the shoes also were a close match with 20 colours.

The shoes or sandals fit my maitreya feet very well and there are just two narrow straps across the toes while it gets a bit confusing at the ankle with four blue straps and two gold straps. The 5″ heels and the straps all colour change with the main base of the shoe. There are 20 colours to chose from which makes it a versatile shoe for summer style outfits I’d say.

A green stripe texture is just one you can use while another I liked was the black and gray style below.

Happy New Year or One Door Closes and Five Open

After losing my job as a concierge in September 2021, things have taken a big turn for the better in the last few days which is both heartening and encouraging.

After 275 sets at my old club it was extremely disappointing to lose my job just for requesting some songs. That done though, I immediately enrolled at Audace and did my advanced modeling course which I passed with honours along with five classmates After some discussions with the owner of the club I had worked at came to nought I finally decided that that door had finally closed there for good.

I really wanted to host again and quickly found a job at the River. The River is a hard rock club and not everyone’s cup of tea musically. However one set a week I decided was going to be worthwhile to keep my hosting skills from going stale. On top of that they actually encourage hosts making song requests on the DJ. So go figure.

Then out of the blue a few days later, Lizzie a DJ I knew from my old club who’d also lost her job contacted me out of the blue and asked me if I could host for her then and there at a club called Class Act. Flattered I eagerly accepted and we had a great time. So I will do one set a week there with Video Jock Natalie on Fridays.

I then bumped into an old friend called Rocketman who told me that Love and Harmony were looking for hostesses and that I should apply. I spoke with their general manager Zano and he explained what the job entailed. So I had my first set there on the last day of December and made double what I usually made at my old club.

For my first night at Love and Harmony I chose this simple blue mermaid style gown in blue by LC called the Laveni Formal Gown in navy blue. It features a mesh top and flexi bottom parts which make it a delightful dress to wear. I wore my hair down instead of up.

So that’s three doors open what are the other two? I was at a show a few days ago when I got asked if I would like teach a class at Audace on blogs by my old style teacher Jasmine. She told me the previous lady teacher had left and the teaching staff had immediately considered me for this post. It comes with a free house and a salary so that’s pretty good.

Then I’ve been working with classmate (and another exile from the club that shall remain nameless) DB Scarmon to establish a dance club at Audace for the use of the agency in the future. We’ll have shows and events there and it really is a top class venue though we’ve still to choose a name for the new place. One thing for sure it wont be the end of line. Happy New Year everyone!!!

Spring Time by Peperoncino

I attended our Sunday evening event with Italian Singer Roxana near the store today. I took some photos of the Spring Time dress I chose for the event. I set the HUD to this bright blue which really stands out. I matched the dress with my favourite Shey Hustle Colour change Stilettos.

Bolero by Peperoncino

A new dress from Pierluigi is always worth writing about but this one is particularly nice to share in a blog.

On receiving the outfit, unpacking is very straight forward as the menu only downloads the version for your mesh body. So there is no need to delete all the other versions that can clog up your inventory. That’s a nice touch. As you can see I went looking for a Christmas tree and posed in front of some that caught my eye. The bolero is fully detachable so the mid-thigh split skirt dress can be worn seperately if required. Both the dress and the bolero can be re-textured using the included HUD which has 12 positions for each. With the exception of black and white the dress textures are not solid colours as you can see in the pictures. The bolero textures are solid colours but that gives great choices to match different bolero colours against the dress colours.

Predominantly yellow this texture suggested a yellow top to me. Dont you agree?

Graduation Picture Advanced Modeling Class – Fall 2021

Well done JiaLynn, Icy, DB Scarmon, Velvet, Ivanna and I as we all passed with honours. Personally the graduation show was a bit of a disaster with lag and the only part I really enjoyed was the Sci Fi dance which had Stargate as it’s movie theme. the picture was taken by Jasmine.

There are six basic class and six advanced class models graduating so very well done to all dozen who have worked hard attending classes on using BOM, blogging, styling and photography.

Robomaid – Cyborg inspired – Audace Advanced Course – Style 2

You’ve heard of Robocop of course now meet Robomaid.

By day Robomaid cleans and dusts. By night she’s licensed vigilante killer complete with automatic pistol. A “cyborg” is defined as an organism with both biological and technological components. In Elaine’s case her human body has been replaced with a robotic one giving her amazing strength and agility. However instead of saving the planet, the inventors think she’s only good at saving time on housework during the day.

For this style I’ve chosen a David Heather-Queen Omni Wig/Copper, An Android Robot Avatar, Cyborg red eyes, French Maid Bonnet and feather duster by MY, Standard Plasma Pistol and Holster attached to her back, Zuri Rayna – Pandora Earrings Fire Opal, Frick Alice in Azure – Lolita Skirt and Sleeves.

The reality is though that I’m Robocop’s sister and an undercover cop complete with a big gun as well as a feather duster just to prove how unique I can be. So if you get too close for a bullet I might just tickle you to death.

Tim Burton Inspired – Audace Advanced Course Final Exam – Style 1

Arriving up the steps from London’s Soho Underground Station expecting rain but the sun is shining.

It’s a big pity it isn’t raining as the umbrella matches the outfit perfectly.

The outfit is based upon the Phunk Striped Long Coat, Shorts and Hat. To that I’ve added a pair of Gos Liliana Striped Boots, simple white pearls from Eolande and Hazzard Black hair with white Stripes. The Umbrella? Oh that was a real find on Market Place and comes from [blissiere] and is appropriately called striped umbrella – noir

Standing at the corner of Soho, I pose in front of a flower seller’s stall and some red phone boxes.

Unlike a Zebra in the African plains that uses stripes for camouflage, I really stand out in this Tim Burton inspired style I’ve created. From the top of my stripy top hat to the tip of my striped knee boots, the look that is straight from the Burton style book with stripes in black and white out in force.

In this outfit, I looks a real head turner as I walk down Carnaby Street humming the Kink’s tune from the sixties, Dedicated follower of fashion. One week she’s in polka dots the next she’s in stripes. Oh yes she is!

These photos were taken inside a church dedicated to the occult. My mode of operation is to hypnotize my victims and draw them into my strong wings while either slashing their throats or plunging my knife deep into their hearts. Then the shout goes up “Murder Police” but I just spread my wings and flies away to my ruined castle. Only my electric horns can be seen in the night.

Autumn Fairy Style Exercise

I was tasked to Style an Autumn Fairy Look for my advanced class by Jasmine and this is the result. I combined several parts together and added some butterflies and leaves circling around me.

Wild Orchid Xigen Starry Night Fatpack

It’s not every day I get to do a blog on one of SL’s long established and well known fashion brands so this blog is a work in progress for now. Where to begin? I’m very hopeful that there will soon be a tie up with the Audace Modelling Agency and Wild Orchid in the near future. That would be truly wonderful as the Agency has an awesome growing reputation for putting on top class shows and combined with the dresses and gowns of Wild Orchid it is sure to be one show not to be missed for anyone with just even a small interest in SL fashions. So it was with some excitement that I received two outfits to try on yesterday.

I chose the Starry Night to look at first which comes after unpacking ready to wear mesh-only versions for Slink Physique, Slink Hourglass, Maitreya and Legacy. There is also in the folder a 12 colour option HUD which worked every time it was used.

A gown like this deserves to be seen and there not many more popular formal dance halls than Franks Jazz these days.

Audace Advanced Course Styling Assignment – Sci Fi Outfit

“Hello Pretty Pretty,” was the opening line Anita Pallenberg’s character of the Great Tyrant gave to Barbarella when they first met in the Roger Vadim 1968 Sci Fi movie Barbarella. As the Black Queen, the Great Tyrant ruled her world with an iron grip but she becomes softer in time thanks to the gentle influence of Barbarella.

To complete the look of the Great Tyrant involved putting together the outfit you see here including the distinctive horn or tusk sprouting out of her head. The black outfit complete with body jewelery and feathers were put together from items already available.

The choice of outfit was inspired by a chance discovery of the base dress at SL18B Halloween shop and hop by Vulnus called the “Veni Witch Maitreya Gloomy Spider” which came with sleeves, and panties. Elaine added the body diamonds from a dress by Utopia, body feathers by Rocky and L’Emporio Elektra shoulder feathers, black gloves with white nails showing by Pure Poison, A choker by Sweet’s. Lastly Elaine added the distinctive MOR Yandere unicorn horn to brown black hair with bangs. It’s certainly an eye catching look which is what happened in the movie as the Tyrant came out from behind the curtains.

Complete with feathers, body jewellery, feathers and a one piece body stocking. Elaine as the great tyrant.

*The Lips* by Peperoncino

Another new dress by Peperoncino means another blog today. This tunic dress comes in all the main mesh body types including Slink, Maitreya and Belleza plus quite a few less popular types. On opening the item you can choose what body type you want. I chose Maitreya obviously and it gave me a folder containing the dress which fitted very well and a 5 colour HUD.

I combined the dress with long hair by YM Shop called Eda, a pair of colour change pumps by Phedora called Kornelia and black thin fishnet pantyhose.

I was invited to an open air concert by Italian singer Akilikos who is certainly worth listening to the night before. He performed to a crowd of over 40 and he was out in the lake surrounded by rowing boats and dance pads in the water at Coeur Lac d’Annecy. This is the newest area in Ville de Coeur (replacing Vieux Colmar in Sept 2021). This region has a residential area, a market square, mini-golf, an amphitheatre, various high end retail shops, cafeterias, boats and various water activities.

Relaxing at the well named Pigeon Cafe which as you can see is surrounded by pigeons I chose the blue version of the dress. The Shoes colour matched it easily and I added a blue ribbon for my hair.

There are plenty of nice seats around the water front at Coeur Lac d’Annecy. There were some nice high end shops including a wedding outfitters overlooking the lake.

Overlooking the water was this delightful cafeteria that had stools in the form of mini eiffel towers. I’ve changed the dress and shoes to yellow as you can see.

With no one looking I stole aboard this yacht in the harbour to take this picture. I’d changed the colour of the dress to orange. The Lips dress fit me very well and it could be used with trousers or leggings. The colour HUD had just 5 colours which seemed reasonable.

There are plenty of paths and walkways at Coeur Lac d’Annecy and I decided that my last picture would be standing up wearing this light gray colour. There is another gray in the selection which is the same shade but instead of the white cuffs and belt they are changed to black.

So there you have it. Coeur Lac d’Annecy has the following Landmark and Peperoncino is added too.

Life has been very hectic over the summer but I had finally time to review a new dress by my SL Italian designer friend Pierluigi Benelli. When it comes to creating lovely mesh dresses with a simple sexiness, Pierluigi is a master as this blog hopefully will illustrate.

At Funky Beach where my old friend The Baron will be making his DJ debut today – 24th September 2021. The dress comes in all the main mesh styles including Slink, Maitreya and Belleza. Unpacking the dress using the menu is very simple and straightforward. I teamed the dress up with a pair of my favourite heels by Phedora (Kornelia) which come in a wide variety of colours. A pair of black fine fishnet pantyhose. My cute hairstyle is by Exile hair and is called Glinting Light.

This shows the cut outs in the dress from the left side. you can just see the top of my pantyhose if you look carefully at the bottom cut out. It’s obvious in this picture with a white dress but not so in the others.

Little black dress? No problem with the colour change feature. As you can see the top shows a fair bit of cleavage and the gold medallion is a nice touch. For the dress to fit properly I had to make a couple of minor tweaks to my alpha on the bodice and the back of my arms but it didn’t take long.

I liked this colourful version in shades of blue, purple and red which makes choosing shoes to match so much easier.

New Job, new venue and new dress

I got asked to host the Baron’s new show at Dino’s the new club run by the same team at Frank’s Jazz this Saturday. Such an occasion warrants a new dress so I went shopping at Dolce Cleo as I knew she had a dress sale on. I wanted a stand out dress for the dark club in which I would be working so I picked this one out in orange.

I added a pair of 5″ colour change pumps which gave a good match in colour and my seamed stay up stockings from Maii to this striking orange lace dress from Dolce Cleo. I will add the details later in this blog. This is me surveying the new club from a stool near the bar.

The dress is quite simple with an applier HUD and a skirt panel. However that means that the material pattern is stretched over my breasts as you can see.

This icture does give the impression that the skirt is tight around the legs while trying to look sophisticated.

Cheers – A free drink at Dino’s – again you can see the stretch in the material of the skirt. Wouldnt it be nice to have a dress that more figure hugging and doesnt give way?

Dolce Cleo Gladys, Pure Poison – Elegance Pumps, Vortex Earring, and e Lauren hair

While working at Franks with the Baron our wonderful DJ one of our guests ĊƖαяaвєℓℓα gave me a dress to try. So here it is and it’s already attracted several nice compliments from other guests and staff.

As you can see its in gold and black with a shimmery effect. there are net pieces holding it all together.

Unusually the dress came with these chunky pieces of jewellery. Unfortunately I hadn’t time to correctly attach the earrings yet. I have managed to do it now though.

Also included with the dress are these black platform soled peep toe heels, They are a simple design but with gold chain decoration in the front. To be honest these are not my style as I prefer my heels to have no platform soles. That said they do compliment the dress beautifully.

This dress definitely scores high in the wow factor. One man offered to take me home to which offer I respectfully declined.

Another nice new dress from Pierluigi dropped into my inventory this past weekend and its the Luna which is a mid thigh clubbing dress with a net front and back.

It comes as a HUD that selects the body you want. A click on the HUD gives a folder of the things that can be worn. In the folder I found a 16 colour HUD and the dress for a Maitreya body. The dress fitted quite well which is a relief as the netting would show up the use of the Maiteya alpha controls.

One of my favourite colours is this blue shade which matched fairly closely to my Similar Medusa pumps which are also colour change. You can see the net lace effect in the front of the dress.

Same pose but this time in red. the Medusa pumps don’t quite match the dress but in a crowded dance venue who is going to notice. It might be an idea to include information on what shoe to buy when buying a particular dress or better still designers include a shoe with a similar colour change HUD.

Green this time another good match with the medusa heels.

this shows the lace effect at the back of the dress which is modest. The pantyhose were seamed and quite sheer and from Pepe,

hear no evil, see no evil and say no evil – lounging in the dress with orange heels again from similar medusa.

Peperoncino Selene

I have fallen in love with PierLuigi s latest creation Selene. As a working concierge or hostess this dress will definitely get used in Franks or Moulin Rouge. However it can also be used in places like Muddy s which is much less formal. You ll soon see why shortly.

To unpack there is HUD for the three main bodies, Belleza, slink and mine Maitreya so you dont need to send all of them to inventory and delete those you dont want later. Only the Maitreya parts are in the folder. Namely a colour change Hud, the top and the skirt. It is possible to have a different colour skirt to the top. The HUD offers 16 colours to the top and more for the skirt.

You really need to look closely to see the join in both parts. It s obviously much more noticeable in this colour.

A darker dress ‘ so many colours to choose from.

This shows the dramatic cleavage on show thanks to the low cut bodice. Relaxing after the photos.

This is without doubt the best dress I have blogged for PierLuigi and it will prove to be very versatile at work in all three clubs. The only downside was that the alpha needed a bit of tweaking to avoid skin showing in the middle of my back. Otherwise it is top marks.

Vintage fair – classic dress

One of the latest offerings from Suki at LSA is this classic pencil dress with gorgeous matching stiletto shoes. It’s called Saffron Solid Sleeveless and comes into two pieces, the plain top and the much more elaborate skirt which features a semi transparent hem and ornate decoration in front. The package comes with a great pair of heels which set it off perfectly.

I received a message about a new hairstyle by NO_MATCH on sale at the huge Vintage Fair that was being held and so set off to look for it. Along the way I looked in a lot of shops taking pictures as I went. I do hope you like the Blog and please make comments below. Hugs and thanks to Suki for the dress and shoes.

I was wearing this classy hair updo designed by Truth from my set at Moulin Rouge the day before. I found this stagecoach and horses shortly after arriving. Unfortunately I couldnt sit in the stagecoach but I posed with the horses. This shows the ornate front of the skirt and although the pale hem looks solid it isnt. As you can see it copes with my fuller figure. The shoes I loved and will get used a lot. The Gardinier flower is just me being quirky. Lastly I put on a pair of nude nylon stockings that I found in the bottom of sock drawer.

With the new NO_MATCH hair called NO_VINTAGE which I bought after trying the demo. I only bought it with the Blonde HUD but other colours are available. Both Horses stood long enough to enable me to get the picture. i really do love the top and skirt and there was absolutely no need to tweak the alpha to make it fit. This is Maitreya but it comes for Belleza, Slink, Ocacin, Voluptuous, Tonic, Fitmesh, and Classic.

The shoes fit Ocacin, Maitreya, Slink and Volumptuous only and are called LSA “Saffron”Blond Heels Pointy Toe. I suggested that Suki sell these with a colour change HUD as they really are quite sexy.

A perfect outfit for going shopping in my opinion. It only needs a soft hat, a pair of dark sunglasses, white gloves and a clutch bag and its there.

Using the hospitality at one store on the way around the Vintage Fair. It was a lot of walking.

Part of the Vintage Fair had old style furniture and couldnt resist trying out the chair poses. If I had a criticism of the shoes it was that the sole should be either black or red but since they come with the dress it’s a small picky matter.

Beachware without the bikini

Duing three hours at Moulin Rouge working as a hostess I received the the latest design from Pierluigi of Peperoncino to try on and this was called Hot Girl but it was actually botter than that. Way hotter than that.

For a start there isnt a bikini or bra in the top but just a piece of lace material covering the breasts while the pants are not shorts or even a bikini bottom but rather a tight high waisted item. That said the outfit looked perfect for lazing around at Sandie’s beach house posing for pictures.

Perfect for catching up on social media. The top is secured by 4 ties while the bottoms are held up around the waist with a belt. I left my Sim-I-lar heels on from work.

Relaxing by the shore – the colour can be changed seperately for the top, the bottoms and the belt. Here I changed it to green, The colour change HUD that comes with it worked perfectly as did the unpacking HUD.

Another colour I liked was this dark blue.

Then I liked this dark gold too. There are 15 colours for both the top and pants, The belt can also change colour using the HUD with 8 choices.

Sandie who used to be a real life fashion model advised me to tie up my hair so I changed it for this style from Truth and posed for some pictures by the water as the sun set over the water. You can see the high cut nature of the bottoms.

No camel toe effect in this closeup of the pants which I liked.

At Sandie’s

I’m doing 5 sets a week now as a hostess at Moulin Rouge (on Fridays) and concierge (at Frank’s Jazz) and with the real life weather so good I havent had much time to do a Blog. I am always on the look out for a nice dress and shoes for work so it was nice to find a dress and shoes from one designer. Lady Slippers and Apparel run by Suki Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ. She makes Mesh dresses and shoes.

I jumped at the chance to use my friend’s Sandie’s house for the location of the pictures rather than at a club where the dress will be used. I think that was a good idea as it allowed me to concentrate rather than having to deal with constant messages wearing a dress like this would definitely generate.

The dress is called LSA Signature PB Spring Gown and it comes for Classic and Mesh bodies. Included in the box was Belleza, Slink, TMP, Maitreya and Classic Mesh

The shoes are LADY SLIPPERS Gladiator Sandals fit Slink, Ocacin, Maitreya and Voluptuous high feet.

I liked the detail in the bodice. The strapping goes around the back which you can see in the next pictures.

Sideview – I had to use the alpha to hide skin peeping out. It might be an idea to include an alpha picture suggestion in the dress box.

I really like the strap detailing at the back.

Sandie has a really lovely house with lots of chairs and sofas so I was able to try out the dress on some and the dress looked good in various poses.

As you can see the dress fits perfectly.

Yes you can see daylight through the bodice.

I’m not really into wearing sandals at work but I really liked the style of these shoes with their strapping around the ankles and toes. The heels are ultra thin and well laid out too. I could have put on some stockings but time was pressing. The only downside is that they just come in one colour and most shoe designers will add a colour change HUD with their shoes. I think they go well with the dress dont you?

The dress is very figure hugging and flares out at the floor in a mermaid style. I liked the simple style of the material too.

Postscript: I had a few compliments about my dress at Frank’s the other day. So thumbs up Suki.

Sparkle Dress Approval

I’ve been pretty busy lately with a new job as a Concierge at the new Frank’s Jazz club run by Wlliam Batson. Although I’ve only got three fixed sets a week I’ve filled in a few times for some of the other girls and I was heavily involved in the transfer of the club to another better Sim last week. The move went well I think and I was able to take a last long look at the old venue before the wreckers moved in. I managed to get some pictures then and that will make the subject of another blog in due course.

Anyway as a concierge I’m expected to dress well and set a good example to our visitors so I am always looking for something classy to wear while on duty or supporting the Club. After slapping a midnight mania board for a pencil skirt I had a look around the store belonging to LSA which stands for Lady Slippers and Apparel. LSA was formed from Midtown Apparel and Lady Slippers and is run by Suki Rexen the owner and designer.

Anyway I found this really nice Red Sparkling pencil dress that I thought would look perfect at Frank’s Jazz as the hemline is knee length.

I found a really nice chair to sit on while I took some pictures.

I look so demure here. Note the matching shoes which came with the dress. The colour matching is pretty good I think

I liked the armchair in the store so tried a few different poses. The dress I wore, was for Maitreya and I had to use the alpha to hide a few places where the skin showed through but that was no big deal. The dress was also supplied for Belleza, Slink and Slink Hourglass, fitmesh and classic mesh. The shoes though came in Maitreya fortunately for me, Volumptuous, Ocacin, and Slink but no Belleza which seemed strange. The dress is low cut in the bodice and has a series of straps across the back with ornate sequins across the shoulders.

I really liked the shoes which as you probably know are my favourite style. So did I get any reactions? The answer was a definite yes for I was asked to dance by someone at the Club while the Concierge on duty liked the dress too. So thumbs up though it would be better if the shoes fitted Belleza.

Pencil dress from Peperoncino by Pierluigi Benelli.

It was wonderful to be contacted by Pierluigi Benelli from Peperoncino today to come and try on a new dress. His work is usually outstanding and this pencil dress is no different. It comes in two styles open and closed. And comes with a ten colour HUD to change the dress colour or texture effectively giving 20 seperate outfits.

My friend Brook modelled the closed version of the Ambra dress in black on the left while I chose the red open version on the right. We are with designer Pierluigi. The dress is on sale at 400L or 360L for group members. Landmark is http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Hollywood%20Land/26/158/26

After posing for a few pictures we sampled a few glasses of Italian red wine. Brook’s seat pose suggests that her upper leg alpha isnt right. I paired my dress with a pair of Angel heels again by Peperoncino which have a gold platform sole and 5″ heel. They are also colour change but dont match the textures or colours of the dress however Pierluigi says he will produce a pair of matching heels for the dress.

I’m wearing the heels which sell for 200L and 180L for group members. They have a 9 colour HUD and fortunately the shade of red isnt too far out. I teamed up the shoes and the dress with a pair of stockings from JFS that was part of a cocktail dress outfit. Standing up you can see the dress is a very good fit with no unintended skin showing through.

The dresses fitted our maitreya bodies well enough though I think blanking out the upper legs is a good idea. My thanks to Brook for helping me out and of course to Pierluigi for the dresses and heels.

The 2020 Twisted Hunt is running from the 1 – 31st March and its not called that by accident, trust me its tough and there are many frustrating decoys. The hunt is free to do, and the theme is Cyberpunk. This hunt is so ‘Twisted’ that there are no clues; but I have found some locations that will give a clue. *Peperoncino* Clothing

I was voting on a photo competition at Peperoncino in which I appear wearing a Dolce Cleo Cocktail dress when I received an unexpected Instant Message from the store owner PIERLUIGI Benelli. Curious to know more it seemed that he liked that I blogged and would I give an opinion on his designs if he gave me some to try.

Not one to look a gift horse in the face I readily agreed and Pierluigi gave me several outfits which are contemporary in style but also very sexy from lace tops to short clubbing dresses.

He also supplied a couple of pairs of stiletto heeled sandals which were both colour change controlled by a HUD. I thought the the range of colours was quite generous but I felt it would have made sense to supply colours for the shoes that matched the outfits he makes and sells. He gave me a one piece swimming costume which I really liked but perhaps it could have come with a HUD with a lot more colours.

The first outfit I tried on was this with a really open sided pair of jeans that I selected in purple and the top that came with it was see through lace and I also chose purple. The sandals though didnt have a purple so i chose red which in this case looks reasonable but in other photos looked odd.
This is the Martha outfit which comes with a small jacket, choice of lace or solid top and jeans all of which can be colour changed to give a wide number of permutations. The sandals are called Susy instead of Suzy.

in this picture I wore the Martha top in a lace look but changed to blue jeans to Pierluigi’s Cleo leggins which as you can see are more like a blue jean. In fact the HUD for them offers 4 shades of blue to choose from however there isnt an option to remove the worn knee look.

Still wearing the Susy sandals I lightened the tone of the cleo Leggins to pale blue or faded and put on the lace top in the cleo folder.

I moved to Mon Joli Cadeau where I worked as a hostessto take some street scenes. in this one I am still wearing the leggins which features a motif on the left thigh. Instead of the top I wore the mini dress called the 60s. The 60s is also colour changeable using the HUD and has 10 useful colours while the tie up laces have three colours.

Relaxing after searching for a replacement for Franks

I teamed this really sexy dress with a pair of my favourite pumps. as you can see they have a leopard print and were a group gift from G&D a while ago. I looked around their store today and their range of shoes is huge with each pair sold as a fat pack. the dress was one i found at Elle for a very cheap price.
My hair was from Sentinus and is called Samira and included a colour HUD.

I am wearing Slack Girl Nails which I are ultra long and ballet style.

Another twenty ballrooms to go or maybe this onewill do?

Carrie’s VIP dress

Carrie’s Lingerie as many of you will know is a good place to look if you want to find some sexy lingerie but what is less known is that she does some awesome dresses and gowns.

While picking up the May group gift today I spotted a dress that I really liked and with it being on discount for VIP members I bought it.

It comes with matching elbow gloves, white fur wrap, and brooch and a pair of platform soled stilettos come as optional extras. I resisted the temptation to buy them as they wouldn’t be seen under the flexi skirts above the ground.

The fur wrap didn’t sit on my shoulders well so I edited that in later pictures.

Still needs adjusted.

To enable the mesh gown to fit properly the Maitreya HUD needed a few adjustments to the gloves and legs to stop them peeping through but once done the result is pleasing dont you think?

I found this interesting place in SL today and it was fun to pose for photographs in this lovely Wild Orchid dress I treated myself to recently. I will use the location again for more items I found at Womanstuff recently.

The location is called Hollywood Scandals

The Orchid Ikon gown is a breathtaking creation and it shows off the female figure in a very sexy way. It had a figure hugging top and wide floor length skirts. It comes with an applier that allows the use of 6 colours. One thing it didnt have was a pair of elbow length opera gloves and to solve this problem I found a pair of gloves that belonged to a Sascha Designs February 2016 Gloves membership gift (Omega) that worked very well.

PurpleMoon Closing Down

50L Closing down sale at PurpleMoon Creations

Have you heard the news???  PurpleMoon Creations is closing down; and everything in the store has been marked down to 50L … yip that’s right only 50L per item. The creator, Paulet Koenkamp mentions in her blog that she is still working on a couple of items which she is planning to give away as gifts. The sale should last for about a month.

I also picked up these pants and fringed jacket. I couldn’t resist and bought the red jacket too.

Allura Dresses

I had a notice from Allura regarding their latest gown design and I decided to take a closer look at their designs.

I bought one dress and picked up two group gifts that I liked. There were quite a few group gifts including jewellery. The first thing I found in the group gift section is this pretty gown called Cleverly Pink but I think its more a purple than pink. Pictured here at a club, the dress is made up of three parts. Omega applier HUD, shoulder decoration and the flexi prim skirt. For Classic avatars there is also clothing.

At the Falls Ballroom

The second outfit is another group gift which is colour change with four colours in the top matched with five separate skirts. I chose the blue top version with a navy blue flexi skirt for the photographs.

picture was taken at Eden Chaffinch. The dress is called Water Colors.

Lastly I chose a yellow lemon gown which has three skirt options. It is called Iced Canary and sells for 99L. I used the fanciful flexi skirt which is narrower than the full Ballgown version. The bodice and legs use an Omega applier with a gloves applier as you can see.

Merivale Dresses

One of my favourite designers is Meri of Merivale so it is neccesary and about time I took a look at one of her dresses in a blog.

The one I chose is this striking blue dress called Merivale Amethyst Kiss Revised which combines Mesh Omega appliers and flexi prims making up the full skirts. The bodice reveals plenty of cleavage but modesty is maintained despite the lacy material.

The skirts comprise four pieces with a centre panel to be chosen from a range of five. In addition each arm has an attachment making it a very attractive dress to dance in and to catch the eye.

Sitting at an empty Club Noir which is completely black and white to depict the forties time period. The beautiful merivale dress in blue was the most colourful item on display.

Merivale can be found easily using search and it’s a big store containing a huge volume of work. The most expensive gown costs 450L which seems good value for what you get. the cheapest are as low as 50L

Up until about six months or so ago Merivale offered a free monthly group dress but that seems to have stopped lately though they do sales and cheaper dresses from time to time. Some of the earlier group dresses are still available for a modest 50L joining fee.

My short blonde hair is by Rezology and is called Noir. I bought the hair on MP and was a bit disappointed it only came in about 6 colors thanks to the HUD.
I was also disappointed with the free lipstick I found at Free Dove
It is by RipRock – Glitter and Hearts LipSticks. The matt lip colors are fine but the glossy colors looked smudged to me. I went with the matt pink which I liked. Ok its a free sample but it only has three shades of usual colors. I didnt change my eye make-up as I couldnt see anything at Dove.
